Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE has announced today that the latest product from its 'MACHINE BUILD' series, a semi-finished model line that recreates the internal structure of mobile suits, will be the 'α Azieru' from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack", scheduled for release in late December 2024.
The gigantic MA 'NZ-333 α Azieru' is a Newtype-exclusive space weapon developed by Neo Zeon. Its design and technology are derived from mobile suits such as the Quin Mantha, Neue Ziel, and Qubeley, making it the culmination of Zeon-type Newtype-exclusive mobile suits. The α Azieru has an overall length of nearly 108 meters, with two large thrusters mounted on its lower body. Its armaments include the 'Wired Psycho-communicator Mega Arm Cannons' on its twin arms, a 'Mega Particle Cannon' in its mouth that can switch between convergent and diffuse firing modes, and nine 'Funnel' units on its back. With terrifying all-range attacks, it can annihilate enemy MS teams, fleets, and even fortress strongholds. During the Second Neo Zeon War, it was piloted by the Newtype girl Quess Paraya, inflicting severe damage on the Londo Bell forces.
The 'MACHINE BUILD α Azieru' is produced at a scale close to 1/144 Gundam models, boasting an impressive size with a total height of 47 cm and a width of 76 cm. Although the product only presents the bust and above, its dimensions are already quite astonishing. The molding colors and paintwork of the parts are also utilized to faithfully recreate its in-setting appearance.
The internal structure, a highlight of this series, is hidden beneath the heavy armor. In addition to the already exposed neck tubing and hydraulic rod details, the front and rear armor of the head can be further expanded to reveal more intricate details. Furthermore, the chest armor features an original deployment mechanism, and the back nose armor can be moved forward to cover it, recreating its transport/docked form. The 'Wired Psycho-communicator Mega Arm Cannons' on both arms can utilize cable parts to recreate their firing state.
