Japanese toy company Megahouse's "ART WORKS MONSTERS" series, which produces monster figures from various works, is releasing a new product based on "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" – the "Dark Magician ~Fated Duel~" pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 19,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in late February 2025!
The 7-star monster card "Dark Magician" (also translated as "Black Magician": ブラック・マジシャン) has 2500 ATK / 2100 DEF. It is the ace monster of protagonist Yugi Muto in the anime "Yu-Gi-Oh!", the incarnation of "Mahad," one of the six priests alongside ancient Pharaoh Atem, and the most trusted monster of both Yugi and his alter ego Atem.
This "Dark Magician ~Fated Duel~" stands approximately 23 cm tall and is an alternate color version of the "Dark Magician" released in 2022. It depicts the Dark Magician in a dynamic pose, stepping on dark magic and a magic circle. The armor details on his body are intricately sculpted, and the flowing movement of his loincloth adds to the overall visual tension! The change this time references the classic purple armor of the Dark Magician from the second TV anime series "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters," incorporating the detailed painting style of the ART WORKS MONSTERS series to spray-paint the light and shadow details on the armor and green staff, reinterpreting the classic design from the DM era!
