GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has announced the latest product from their popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different items, the "Nendoroid Shinpachi Shimura" from "Gintama". It is priced at 6,900 JPY and is scheduled for release in December 2024.
The main body is glasses, Shinpachi Shimura, who joined Yorozuya to repay Gintoki. He is arguably the most tsukkomi-prone (straight man/reactor) pair of glasses in manga history. As the young master of the Kendo dojo "Kōdōkan," he has diligently practiced swordsmanship for many years. After the Sword Ban Edict, he struggled to recruit students and aims to revive the dojo. Although he appears weak, it's actually because he is surrounded by extraordinary monsters. He is usually polite and well-mannered, but when acting as the leader of the Terakado Tsū Imperial Guard, he switches to a wild, manly persona.
The "Nendoroid Shinpachi Shimura" features a main body crafted from frameless transparent material, perfectly recreating his in-series appearance by 100%. It's truly a fantastic deal to buy glasses and get a figure included!
The figure accessories include three interchangeable face plates: a standard "smiling face," a "smirking face," and an excited "tsukkomi face" that can be used for both reacting and cheering. Also included are a "folding fan" for tsukkomi, a "wooden sword," and a "fan" for cheering on Otsū.
