Bandai's GASHAPON division, under its "Ringcolle!" series which produces various ring gashapon, is set to release a new product featuring the handheld digital pet game "Tamagotchi"—the "Ringcolle! Tamagotchi 3" gashapon. The suggested retail price is 300 Japanese Yen per capsule, with an anticipated release in late November 2024!

Tamagotchi (たまごっち) is a series of handheld digital pet game consoles launched by Bandai in 1996. Its name combines the Japanese words for egg (たまご, Tamago) and watch (ウォッチ, Watch). Upon its release, it sparked a global digital pet craze and was one of the most iconic toys from the 90s to the early 2000s, surely a cherished childhood memory for many toy enthusiasts!

This "Ringcolle! Tamagotchi 3" series is centered around the "Keitama" series, which was released in 2004 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, featuring infrared communication capabilities. Twelve Tamagotchi designs have been crafted into ring shapes. While they do not possess actual play functions, both the device itself and the two packaging designs faithfully recreate their appearance from back then. Even the strap inside the packaging and the product labels on the back are reproduced, making them super cute to display directly without even opening them to wear as rings!
