KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese toy company, has announced that the latest product in its original plastic model kit series "Frame Arms", the "LX-00 Rayfalx:RE2", is scheduled for release in December 2024.
In the lore of the "Frame Arms" series, the LX-00 Rayfalx is a new type of FA that was only confirmed at the end of the Moon Offensive. Although this unit shot down numerous FAs from the lunar faction in battle, it does not appear in the Earth faction's construction records. It is speculated that it might have been built by the lunar faction but was captured and utilized by the Earth faction for some reason. This unit is equipped with TC Shield Oscillators and powerful Beryl Weaponry throughout its body, possessing extremely high combat capabilities.
The new version, "LX-00 Rayfalx:RE2", is a modification of the standard version released in 2017. The overall design is handled by ToMo, the designer responsible for units such as Magatsuki and Toutou-I, thoroughly reproducing the sharp armor silhouette characteristic of the unit. Transparent parts are used to recreate the transparent armor and weaponry across its entire body. The difference lies in the replacement of various sculpted hand parts with :RE2 specifications, using the same molded color as the Rayfalx armor. Other features, such as the strengthened waist connection parts and the unassembled frame, are also common characteristics of the :RE2 series.
For weaponry, it similarly includes two "BS-R04 Rifles", four "Beryl Swords", two "Beryl Knives", and four "Beryl Daggers". Through specific combinations, the transformation system of the Beryl Weaponry can be reproduced, forming weapon configurations such as a gunblade, spear, tonfa, shield, shuriken, cannon, and greatsword. Furthermore, they can connect to the unit's back to form massive wings.
Additionally, the kit will include bonus parts: colorless transparent parts for the Rayfalx body and weaponry, which can be used to replace the original molded color parts for customization.
