Bandai's GASHAPON division, known for its "Nemurase-tai" (Sleeping Squad) series which features characters in resting poses, is launching a new product based on the classic anime "Inuyasha" – the "Inuyasha Nemurase-tai" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, and it is scheduled to be released in the fifth week of August 2024!
"Inuyasha" tells the story of protagonist Kagome Higurashi, who accidentally travels 500 years back in time to Japan's Sengoku period. There, she encounters the half-demon "Inuyasha" and later befriends a group of companions including the monk Miroku, the demon slayer Sango, the two-tailed demon cat Kirara, and the young fox demon Shippo. Together, they embark on a journey to confront their arch-nemesis Naraku while searching for fragments of the Shikon Jewel.
This "Inuyasha Nemurase-tai" series features several popular characters from the work, rendered in an adorable approximately 2.5-head-tall proportion, showcasing various sleeping and resting poses. The lineup includes four types: Inuyasha, Kagome Higurashi, Sesshomaru, and Shippo. Each character's sleeping pose perfectly matches their personality, especially Sesshomaru's half-closed eye, not fully asleep, which still exudes his cool charm even in this cute proportion!
