MEDICOM TOY, a popular Japanese toy brand, has announced a new Marvel Comics-themed product in its popular 6-inch action figure series, MAFEX: the "X-Men Age of Apocalypse Weapon X" action figure. The suggested retail price is 12,980 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2025!
"X-Men Age of Apocalypse" is an X-Men storyline developed by Marvel in 1995, depicting a dark future where Earth-295 is controlled by Apocalypse because Legion traveled back in time and accidentally killed Professor X. In the story, according to Cyclops's account, Weapon X and Cyclops had a falling out over how to deal with Apocalypse. After a fierce battle, Weapon X lost his left hand to Cyclops's optic blast, which was then covered by a metal gauntlet. This version of Wolverine also made a brief appearance on the big screen in "Deadpool & Wolverine," immediately launching into a furious assault upon seeing Deadpool!
This Age of Apocalypse Weapon X figure stands approximately 14.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating his comic book appearance, meticulously reproducing his wild hair, ferocious expression, white eyes, and the metal gauntlet on his left arm! Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands and three different expression head sculpts, as well as interchangeable hand parts with claws protruding from the metal gauntlet. The design of this metal gauntlet is truly awesome!
Furthermore, it can be displayed alongside the "X-Men: Age of Apocalypse Cyclops" figure, released concurrently, to recreate the battle that only existed in Cyclops's verbal account!
