BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the fourth installment of its popular soft vinyl candy toy "Friends" series, "Chiikawa Friends 4," themed after the super popular manga "Chiikawa," is scheduled for release in December 2024.
"Chiikawa Friends" figures are produced at a height of approximately 6-7 cm, utilizing the unique soft texture and rounded shapes characteristic of PVC soft vinyl material to create the many small and adorable characters appearing in "Chiikawa." Rich color painting reproduces the brushstrokes drawn by Nagano-sensei and the characters' lively expressions.
The fourth installment will feature 8 brand new "Chiikawa" character soft vinyl figures, including various characters such as Chiikawa, Kabutomushi (Little Beetle), Hachiware, Usagi, Kurimanju, and Furuhon-ya (Old Bookstore Owner). Among them, also released from the "Prison Goblin Arc" are Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi in their prison uniform designs after being arrested by goblins for secretly eating mushrooms. Their appearance, shedding tears while eating prison food, is super adorable!
