Japanese model maker Sentinel's popular alloy action figure 'RIOBOT' series has announced the latest product from 'Super Robot Wars OG', 'Soulgain', scheduled for release in June 2025.
The EG-X Soulgain, piloted by Axel Almar, the protagonist of 'Super Robot Wars A', is an assault unit specialized in armor and power, designed for hit-and-run tactics, possessing excellent mobility, defense, and recovery functions. This unit is equipped with the 'Sokkakaku' weapon, made from special fluid metal, on both elbows, allowing it to perform various martial arts techniques primarily based on punches and kicks, such as Seiryurin and Byakkoga. Upon releasing its limiters, it can further unleash its power to execute the powerful continuous attack special move 'Kirin'.
The 'RIOBOT Soulgain' is constructed from composite materials such as plastic and alloy parts, meticulously recreating the robust, martial arts-proficient physique from the game's setting, and features various metallic paint applications to convey a weighty texture. Numerous circular lens parts across its body exhibit a fluorescent effect under blacklight, and can also be replaced with parts to recreate the red glow state when activating a special move.
The full-body articulated frame incorporates some alloy parts to enhance strength, allowing for dynamic martial arts poses when performing techniques. Accessories include dedicated parts to recreate the 'Genbu Kongoudan' technique, LED-lit transparent fist parts to represent the limit-release state, and interchangeable extended 'Sokkakaku' arm parts to recreate the powerful appearance when performing the special move 'Kirin'.
Furthermore, purchasing this product through official Sentinel channels such as the SENTINEL STORE will include the limited bonus part 'Soulgain's Left Arm (Zan'ei Genbudan)', which can recreate the appearance from the TV anime version where the remnants of Soulgain are used as a substitute for the left arm.
