Following last month's "Izuku Midoriya," the S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, officially unveiled sales information yesterday (24th) for its second work from the popular anime "My Hero Academia"—the "Katsuki Bakugo" action figure. It will retail for 9,350 JPY and is scheduled for release in March 2025!
Katsuki Bakugo, whose Quirk is "Explosion," is a hot-headed bully who tormented protagonist Izuku since childhood, even giving him the demeaning nickname "Deku." Like Izuku, he aspires to become a hero like All Might. His powerful Quirk forged his unyielding personality, and he showed remarkable growth in his mindset as Izuku gradually caught up to him, earning him the affection of many fans!
This Katsuki Bakugo action figure stands approximately 14.5 cm tall, modeled after Bakugo's "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight" winter hero costume from the anime's seventh season. The head faithfully recreates Bakugo's spiky hairstyle, and details such as the grenade gauntlets and fabric wrinkles on his hero suit are accurately reproduced. Clever cuts on the wide pants and knee pads ensure high articulation while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the sculpt.
For accessories, the figure includes three sets of interchangeable hands and four interchangeable face plates, capturing Bakugo's slightly disdainful and confident expressions, with versions both wearing and not wearing his eye mask. The eye mask's exaggerated design can be further emphasized using interchangeable hair parts. Additionally, his exclusive explosion effects are included, featuring a highly detailed orange-yellow gradient paint application, allowing Bakugo to hold them in his hands just like in the anime, recreating the moment he unleashes his Quirk!
