Bushiroad Creative, the anime and manga merchandise distributor under Bushiroad Inc. (BR Co.) of Japan, has announced a new product under its "PalVerse" brand's "PalVerse Palé" series, which combines anime characters with paint palettes. The new product, "Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Mini Figure Collection," is themed after the classic anime "Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch." The suggested retail price is 1,100 JPY per box, and it is scheduled for release on December 13, 2024!
"Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch" is a Japanese manga series originally written by Michiko Yokote and illustrated by Pink Hanamori. It was adapted into an anime in 2003 by Actas and Synergy SP. The story features seven mermaid princesses from the seven seas who fight enemies with their singing and dancing. Their dazzling designs and the catchy, specially translated and dubbed songs from its broadcast in Taiwan are undoubtedly cherished childhood memories for many toy enthusiasts from the 90s and millennium generations!
This blind box collection features the mermaid forms of the three main mermaid princesses from the series—"Lucia Nanami," "Hanon Hosho," and "Rina Toin"—rendered as PalVerse-style adorable 3-head-tall proportioned figures. They are posed in dynamic and lively stances, and continuing the Palé series' paint theme, their bases are designed as oil paint palettes, with character-corresponding representative colors of paint on the sides. Lined up, they are incredibly cute, and we look forward to the opportunity to collect all seven mermaid princesses from the seven seas in the future!
