The "FULL MECHANICS" series, launched by BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan, known for its high-density details and ease of assembly, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE", the "FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Boost Raider Gundam", scheduled for release in December 2024.
The GAT-XX370 Boost Raider Gundam is a mobile suit developed by the Atlantic Federation. Its composite design concept integrates the signature armaments of the three GAT series machines – Calamity, Forbidden, and Raider – while also retaining the Raider Gundam's own MA transformation mechanism. Although this unit possesses excellent firepower, defense, and mobility, its development plan was halted due to its extremely high operational difficulty, requiring a Coordinator pilot.
The "FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Boost Raider Gundam" thoroughly recreates the design by mechanical designer Junichi Akutsu using numerous new parts. Its entire body incorporates sliding, interlocking, and multi-joint designs to provide a flexible range of motion, while also featuring extremely high-density detail sculpting, resulting in a highly informative and incredibly cool armor design.
The unit's armaments not only combine the Raider Gundam's previous mouth-mounted 100mm energy cannon "Agni" and 52mm ultra-high initial velocity cannon, the Calamity Gundam's two long-range beam cannons "Schlag" on its back, and the Forbidden Gundam's 88mm electromagnetic cannon "Eckzahn", but also feature newly molded parts for the forehead-mounted additional optical weapon "Gigant", the new armament "High Priest" which integrates shields and claws on both arms, and the waist-mounted energy deflection mechanism "Elastic Field". Each armament can recreate its deployed state through movable mechanisms.
The frame also inherits the Raider Gundam's MA transformation mechanism, allowing for adjustments to the shoulders, legs, and wings to recreate a raptor-like MA form, and deploying the M427 and M2M3 machine guns located throughout the fuselage.
