Japanese toy company KOTOBUKIYA is scheduled to release a 1/7 scale PVC figure of Dana Iclucia (ダーナ=イクルシア), the heroine from the action RPG game 'Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana', in April 2025, priced at 29,700 JPY.
Veteran JRPG fans are certainly no strangers to the 'Ys' (イース) series. Developed by Japanese game developer Falcom, 'Ys' was first released on personal computers in 1987 and subsequently ported to platforms such as the Nintendo Famicom and PC-Engine. It began with the adventure story of the red-haired swordsman protagonist, Adol Christin, allowing players to experience the sights, people, and events he encountered on his journeys through the game. The latest installment in the series, 'Ys X: Nordics', was released on various platforms in September 2023.
Among the series, 'Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana', first released on the PS Vita in 2016, received the most praise from players. Not only did it feature numerous breakthroughs in action, graphics, and gameplay, but its most beloved aspect was the highly successful character development and narrative for the heroine, Dana. Many players still fondly remember her after completing the game, and it is considered an insurmountable milestone in the series.
Following the previously announced Adol Christin, Kotobukiya has now released this 1/7 scale PVC figure of Dana. Standing approximately 24.5 cm tall, her appearance faithfully recreates her in-game design, dressed in her distinctive miko attire and wielding her twin blades, "Crescent". Her dynamic pose conveys a strong sense of rhythm, highlighting Dana's lively and charming personality. Displaying her alongside the previous Adol figure will surely evoke countless memories of adventures on the Isle of Seiren.
