Mattel Creations, the online sales platform under American toy company Mattel that collaborates with fan creators to sell their works, will partner with the highly-discussed renowned creative team "MSCHF" to launch a brand new collaborative product—the "Not Wheels" 1/64 scale die-cast car model. The suggested retail price is US$30, and it is scheduled to be released on the Mattel Creations official website on August 30th at 09:00 AM Pacific Time!

The creative team MSCHF, hailing from Brooklyn, New York, was founded in 2016. They frequently parody and reinterpret various products using current events. In 2019, they released the "Jesus Shoes," which injected holy water into Nike Air Max 97s. Then, in 2021, they collaborated with American rapper Lil Nas X to create the "Satan Shoes," which injected "human blood" into the Nike Air Max 97 air sole. Each product launch generated significant discussion. Last year, they even unveiled the "Big Red Boots," which closely resembled Astro Boy's boots, causing a sensation online!

The name "Not Wheels" for this release is a pun on the original name Hot Wheels. The team aims to pay homage to every driver's beat-up but reliable first car. Its design inspiration comes from early 1990s Japanese import cars, breaking the public's perception of die-cast car models by creating a small, dilapidated car that looks ready for the junkyard! The car comes with three different tires: two classic Hot Wheels Real Riders tires, one yellow spare tire, and one rusty hubcap. Because it only has three tires, this Not Wheels model is not designed to roll. The rusty texture on the car body, the dusty windshield, scratches, and crude repair marks are all meticulously hand-restored. The aerodynamic kit, with only a modified rear spoiler and a "Fart Can" design, is also full of satire towards cheap car modifications by "boy racers." The rear of the car even features bumper stickers with car-related puns like "Born To Drive, Life is a Truck" and "I am Hot Wheel," truly packed with details!

The blister card packaging is, of course, also full of Easter eggs! The "Hot Wheels" text on the classic Hot Wheels logo has been replaced by MSCHF, and "Not Totaled Yet" is added to the side. Because it's missing a wheel, it specifically notes "Cylinder Block Not Included," indicating that a cinder block for support will not be provided. The back first features a section filled with various car noise onomatopoeia to introduce this "ordinary car." The text description below further adds details full of humorous "BS" like "This car is in good condition, just needs a little tidying up" and "Not suitable for purchase by those with golf club memberships, as they will be given strange looks," which is incredibly amusing!
