BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced the latest product in their Pokémon-themed plastic model kit 『POKEPLA』 series, the 56th installment: "Select Series Meowscarada". It has a suggested retail price of 1,760 JPY and is scheduled for release in February 2025!
Meowscarada, the final evolution of Sprigatito, one of the Paldea region's starter Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, is the Magician Pokémon. The seemingly floating flowers around it are actually flower bombs whose stems are hidden by the fur on the inside of its cape! According to official settings, it has "high self-esteem, loves to show off, but also possesses a delicate and sensitive personality. It often shows strong attachment to its Trainer and is prone to jealousy, so its mood sours when it sees its Trainer doting on other Pokémon." Its tsundere personality, combined with its graceful figure and beautiful legs that resemble black stockings, has led many Trainers to have "uncontrollable" thoughts.
The "POKEPLA Collection 56 Select Series Meowscarada" plastic model kit faithfully recreates its magician-like appearance, complete with a mask. Multi-color molded parts are used to reproduce its petal-like collar and the flower bombs behind it, while the intricate leaf vein details on the inside of its cape are also meticulously replicated. The facial parts are precisely divided; in addition to standard eyes, stickers for varying gazes are included, and interchangeable mouth parts allow for different expressions. The design features articulated joints, enabling a wide variety of poses (and allowing you to fully enjoy those beautiful legs)!
