BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan today announced the 15th product in its 1/144 scale plastic model kit series, "Option Parts Set Gunpla," featuring the "Cavalier Ifrit" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," scheduled for release in February 2025.
The AMGS-X18P Cavalier Ifrit is a Mobile Suit support mechanism utilized by the Orb military and the Eternal in the theatrical film. It can operate independently, and when combined with a Mobile Suit, the prefix "AMAZING" is added to the Mobile Suit's name. Equipped with the Cavalier Ifrit, a Mobile Suit gains the ability to navigate in aerial, underwater, and space environments, and is armed with various weapons including beam, solid projectile, electronic warfare, and Mirage Colloid stealth systems. Its internal space also features living quarters for over 10 soldiers and is equipped with SPC communication devices, enabling ultra-long-distance real-time communication between individual Cavalier Ifrits from Earth to the Moon, as well as remote control of MS functions, making it an incredibly versatile small mobile command center.
The "Option Parts Set Gunpla 15 Cavalier Ifrit" utilizes precisely molded parts and plastic stickers to recreate its disc-shaped outer armor, front sensor unit, and various armaments. It boasts a massive size capable of enveloping 1/144 Gunpla products and includes multiple adapter parts, allowing it to be equipped with most HG Gunpla products from the "SEED" series.
The wings feature an unfolding mechanism to recreate its flight form, and the missile pods on both sides can open and close to reveal the internal warhead sculpts. Additionally, the product will include the "Prototype Type 35 Kai Railgun," a widely used armament in the theatrical film, along with various adapter parts to allow multiple Mobile Suits to mount the railgun.
