The 1/144 scale model kit series "Option Parts Set Gunpla", launched by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, today announced the 14th product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV", the "Gunbarrel Striker", is scheduled for release in January 2025.
The AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Striker is an equipment that miniaturizes the MA "Moebius Zero" and applies it to the Striker Pack system. It features a cockpit, Gatling guns, railguns, missiles, and four wired gunbarrels, possessing considerable combat capability even as a standalone unit. It can also be combined with Mobile Suits equipped with the Striker Pack system, such as the Strike Gundam and 105 Dagger. Initially, this equipment was developed as a dedicated unit for Mu La Flaga, the sole survivor of the Moebius Zero unit. However, after Mu defected from the Earth Alliance with the Archangel, it was transferred for use by "Mad Dog of the Moonlight" Morgan Chevalier.
The "Option Parts Set Gunpla 14 Gunbarrel Striker" utilizes clear green, dark yellow, white, and dark gray molded parts to form the main body, ventral Gatling gun, and four wired gunbarrels. By swapping parts, it can recreate the firing state with deployed gunbarrels. After removing the nose to transform it into backpack mode, it can be combined with separately sold 1/144 scale Gunpla, and includes single-axis and dual-axis connection parts to accommodate most Mobile Suits.
