Japanese toy company KOTOBUKIYA is scheduled to release a 1/8 scale PVC figure of "Joshua Bright" (ヨシュア・ブライト), the protagonist from Japanese game company Falcom's renowned RPG game "The Legend of Heroes VI: Trails in the Sky", in May 2025, priced at 25,080 JPY.
Developed by Japan's Falcom and released in 2004, "The Legend of Heroes VI: Trails in the Sky" (英雄伝説VI 空の軌跡) is the sixth installment in The Legend of Heroes series and the first in the third phase of the Trails series. The game constructs a unique technological world view based on the fictional energy "Orbal energy." The main setting is the Liberl Kingdom, located on the Zemuria continent and surrounded by the Erebonian Empire and the Calvard Republic. It stars Estelle and Joshua, who aspire to become Bracers, and chronicles their many adventures during their travels.
Joshua is the male protagonist of "The Legend of Heroes VI: Trails in the Sky," first appearing at age 16, fighting with dual daggers. Adopted by the Bright family five years prior, he is Estelle's adoptive younger brother, a handsome young man with purplish-black hair and amber eyes. He joined the Bracer Guild with Estelle, becoming a Junior Bracer and embarking on training travels across various regions. Although he appears gentle, he was once subjected to hypnotic suggestion and was, in fact, an assassin. After enduring many trials, he eventually became a couple with Estelle.
This Joshua Bright figure by Kotobukiya is crafted in 1/8 scale, standing approximately 22.4 cm tall, and depicts Joshua in his white cape, wielding dual swords. This is his appearance from "Trails in the Sky SC" and marks his first-ever physical figure adaptation. Every part of his body is meticulously recreated, including the tattoo on his shoulder, the accessories hanging from his person, and the patterns on his swords. Fans of the Trails series should definitely consider this.
