The action figure brand S.H.Figuarts, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has launched a new product based on the popular anime "One Piece" – the "Sabo -Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army-" action figure. The suggested retail price is 7,700 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in January 2025!
Sabo (サボ) originally hailed from a noble family in the Goa Kingdom. As a child, he grew tired of aristocratic life and escaped the High Town, where he met Ace. Later, he, Ace, and Luffy became sworn brothers. After the Goa Kingdom incident, everyone believed Sabo had perished. In reality, Sabo had lost his memory, joined the Revolutionary Army, and steadily rose to the position of Chief of Staff. It wasn't until the Marineford War, when he saw news of Ace's death in the newspaper, that he regained his memories. In the subsequent Dressrosa Arc, he seized the reappeared Flame-Flame Fruit, inheriting Ace's abilities!
This "Sabo -Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army-" action figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. It is sculpted in Sabo's in-series appearance, wearing a white vest and a caramel-colored coat. The intricate details capture the dynamic feel of the clothing's wrinkles. The coat can be attached to Sabo's shoulders and is divided into three parts, featuring multiple points of articulation that can be adjusted to create a flowing visual effect according to the pose! The gloved hands come with four types of interchangeable parts each, naturally including the cool Dragon Claw gesture! In addition to the hat-wearing hairstyle interchangeable part, the head also includes four interchangeable face plates, allowing for various expressions of Sabo. Furthermore, an independent hat and Sabo's customary iron pipe accessory from childhood are included, offering a rich variety of display options!
This release also continues a characteristic feature of the S.H.Figuarts One Piece series, including a crying face expression for Luffy. Although the sculpt is different, it likely references the scene in Dressrosa where Luffy burst into tears upon seeing Sabo. This can be paired with the previously released Onigashima Luffy or the "Monkey D. Luffy -The Dawn of Adventure-" for display!
