Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the release of a new model kit from "Mega Man Battle Network," the "Mega Man.EXE Premium Charge Shot Ver.," scheduled for December 2024.

In "Mega Man Battle Network," Mega Man is an artificial intelligence program, a "NetNavi," developed by Hikari Yuichiro, the father of protagonist Lan Hikari. Upon completion, he possessed a simulated personality and a 100% synchronization rate with his partner, Lan Hikari. He can utilize weapons such as the "Mega Buster" and "Sword," and in game sequels, he can transform through specific systems. In reality, Mega Man was developed by Hikari Yuichiro using the DNA data of Lan's prematurely deceased twin brother, "Hub Hikari." Not only is his personality more human-like, but his overall performance also surpasses previous NetNavis.

The "Mega Man.EXE Premium Charge Shot Ver." is a modified version based on the previously released standard edition. It features new polarized plating and polarized molded color parts for the entire body, allowing the part colors to change depending on the viewing angle, replicating the charge-up colors from the game. The sword effect parts that extend from the arm and the Sword effect have also been changed to a polarized green molded color. Furthermore, the product's box art will feature a limited edition illustration.

Other parts remain the same as the standard edition. Once assembled, the Mega Man.EXE body stands approximately 14 cm tall. Some parts are pre-painted, allowing even model kit beginners to create a highly accurate model. The accessories include four interchangeable face parts: a normal face, a smiling face, a shouting face, and a masked face, allowing for the expression of a wide range of emotions from the game. Additionally, there are various hand parts, forearm parts for Buster and Sword modes, the Mega Buster, two lengths of sword effect parts, and a dynamic "Sword" effect part with three adjustable angles, enabling the recreation of diverse battle scenes!
