Timothée Chalamet Channels Bob Dylan in Biopic Teaser, Recreating Iconic "Subterranean Homesick Blues" Scene

The upcoming biopic "A Complete Unknown," directed by James Mangold ("Logan"), will chronicle the life of influential 1960s American folk singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. Timothée Chalamet is set to star as the counterculture icon.

Following the release of previous teasers, Searchlight Pictures recently unveiled a special tribute to Dylan's 1965 single "Subterranean Homesick Blues." The new video recreates the legendary "cue card" scene from Dylan's original music video, which is considered one of the earliest modern promotional film clips.

"A Complete Unknown" delves into Bob Dylan's story during the 1960s. In addition to Timothée Chalamet as Dylan, the cast features Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo (a character based on Dylan's girlfriend Suze Rotolo), Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, P. J. Byrne, and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.

The biopic "A Complete Unknown" is slated for a North American theatrical release on December 25, 2024.
