While James Gunn's DC Universe is still taking shape, the roster of talent joining the cinematic family continues to grow. Reports indicate that 56-year-old veteran British actor Daniel Craig, best known for his portrayal of James Bond, is in talks to star in the DC film "Sgt. Rock," potentially reuniting with director Luca Guadagnino.

As "Sgt. Rock" remains in its early stages of development, neither Daniel Craig nor Luca Guadagnino has officially signed with Warner Bros. Discovery. However, the two previously collaborated on the A24 film "Queer," which is set to premiere on November 27, 2024. Justin Kuritzkes, who penned the screenplay for "Queer," is also attached to write the script for this upcoming DC project.
Notably, Daniel Craig isn't the only major star to have shown interest in the classic DC Comics World War II soldier. Previously, actors including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis reportedly vied for the lead role in "Sgt. Rock" but ultimately did not secure the part.

Further specific details regarding "Sgt. Rock" have yet to be announced.
