Recent set photos from the live-action "Moana" film, featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, went viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion. A particular point of interest was Johnson's heavily tattooed, muscular physique, which many fans speculated was a "fake muscle suit."
The buzz eventually reached Johnson. During a recent interview with "Extra" to promote Disney's animated "Moana 2," he was asked if he specifically bulked up to play Maui. Johnson admitted that his impressive physique wasn't entirely his own, confirming eagle-eyed fans' suspicions that it was indeed a custom-made muscle suit.
"It's a special suit that takes a long time to put on," Johnson stated. "So, when I heard you ask if I had bulked up, I was actually quite pleased, because it means the suit is realistic enough that it's hard to tell."

Nevertheless, Johnson seemed surprised when the set photos leaked and fans discovered the "fake muscle suit." He recounted, "We were filming outdoors, so when those photos went viral online, I thought, 'Damn! Busted!' We had put up walls to try and block paparazzi, but we never imagined they would come by boat to take pictures."
The live-action "Moana" film is currently still in production, while the animated "Moana 2" is now playing in theaters.
