Veteran actress Sharon Stone, 66, who starred in the 90s classic "The Quick and The Dead," recently attended a Q&A at the Torino Film Festival. During the event, she reflected on the Sam Raimi-directed film, expressing her dissatisfaction and disappointment with the director, stating unequivocally that she would never work with him again.

During the Q&A, Stone specifically contrasted her experience with Sam Raimi to her time working with Martin Scorsese on "Casino." She recalled her role as both a producer and casting director on "The Quick and The Dead," a position she was honored to hold, which she said helped Raimi transition from B-movies into the mainstream. However, she noted that Raimi was "too young" at the time, lacking "loyalty and a sense of belonging"—a key difference she identified between Raimi and Scorsese.
Stone continued by saying that while she liked Sam Raimi's films and considered him a very smart and humorous director, a completely different type from Martin Scorsese, she noted that Scorsese, being Italian, was very loyal to his collaborators, fostering a family-like connection.

She then contrasted this with Raimi, stating that he, on the other hand, did not exhibit such loyalty or create a sense of belonging. Stone claimed she never heard from him again, never received thanks, was never re-hired, nor did he ever acknowledge their collaboration. In contrast, she said, Scorsese maintained a deep connection with her due to her efforts, and she greatly admired him, which is why their relationship has continued to this day.
