Hong Kong backpack brand FX Creations has teamed up with "Neon Genesis Evangelion" to create a brand-new collaboration featuring three-dimensional Mecha Packs! Today, we at the Toy People editorial team will not only explore the unique charm of these backpacks with all of you but also introduce a rich collection of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" themed merchandise. And most importantly~~ there will be a giveaway event!
Inspired by the armor of the most classic "General-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Weapon, the Android EVANGELION" from "Neon Genesis Evangelion," these packs utilize 3D molding technology to highlight a three-dimensional mecha feel, meticulously integrating various mechanical elements. Every detail is carefully designed to showcase a strong mecha style. The backpack's design not only creates an instant connection to model kits but also adds a personalized flair for toy enthusiasts. This new Mecha Pack, which can be called the EVA backpack, is available not only in the popular Unit-01 version but also simultaneously in Unit-02 and Unit-06 versions!
■ Unit-01 MECHA PACK - AGS PRO Anti-Gravity System Backpack
First up is the Unit-01 Mecha Pack, featuring a primary color scheme of purple, green, and black. The front design feels like it's throwing a powerful, no-holds-barred straight punch at every toy fan looking at it, including a front flap inspired by Unit-01's head, directly displaying Unit-01's two eyes and the mechanical feel of its body armor.
▼ The specially patented spring mechanism is the core of the AGS Pro Anti-Gravity System. It uses the kinetic energy generated from walking to create a rebound force that supports the load, minimizing the discomfort of carrying heavy items for extended periods.
▼ A look at the details of the Unit-01 Mecha Pack, including the unit's emblem, number, the "EVANGELION" text, and the logo of the special agency NERV. There is also a secure hidden pocket on the side, approximately 20 cm deep.
▼ The main compartment's 33L capacity is quite massive. The opening angle reveals a surprisingly wide expansion. You can further increase the opening range by undoing the Velcro (with metal buckles on both sides), even experiencing something similar to using a suitcase by laying the backpack completely flat to pack items, which is very interesting. The compartment design includes a laptop sleeve (fits a 15.6-inch laptop), a tablet sleeve, and a zippered pocket on the other side.
■ Unit-02 MECHA PACK - AGS PRO Anti-Gravity System Backpack
After Unit-01, we have the equally popular Unit-02, with its red-dominant color scheme. The overall design of the Unit-02 Mecha Pack is similar to Unit-01, but adjustments have been made to the color palette and the eye design on top to match the characteristics of EVA Unit-02. The 3D mecha texture on the body is also different.
■ Unit-06 MECHA PACK - AGS PRO Anti-Gravity System Backpack
Next, the Unit-06 Mecha Pack is fully infused with a deep blue tone and the unit's characteristics. Corresponding to the story where Unit-06 was completed by the mysterious organization SEELE at their lunar base by covering a mysterious black giant with armor (restraints), the SEELE logo is printed on the side storage pocket of the backpack.
▼ Each purchase of an anti-gravity backpack also comes with a rain cover corresponding to the specific unit.
