Continuing its annual year-end tradition, the National Film Preservation Board has announced its latest list of films to be preserved in the National Film Registry. Since 1989, the registry has selected 25 films each year that are at least ten years old and deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
Among this year's inductees are several titles familiar to modern audiences, including "Dirty Dancing," "The Social Network," "Spy Kids," and "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre."
