A hilarious anecdote about AI answering a Pokémon evolution question has gone absolutely viral on X (formerly Twitter), racking up 4.5 million views and over 50,000 likes. The star of this digital comedy show? ChatGPT, which conjured up a completely fictional evolution called "Tyranitar Pawmi," leaving netizens in stitches.
It all started when X user @nime_GNOSIA posed a simple question to ChatGPT: "Does Pawmi have an evolution? How does Pawmi evolve?" For those unfamiliar, Pawmi is a new Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, beloved by players for its adorable looks. In the games, Pawmi evolves into Pawmo at Level 18.

However, ChatGPT's response was pure, unadulterated nonsense. It claimed Pawmi could evolve into a form called "Tyranitar Pawmi," detailing the evolution conditions: "Pawmi needs to reach Level 40 or higher, and then level up while holding the evolution item 'Fangs of Fury' (あらくれのキバ)."
Any seasoned Pokémon trainer knows two things: first, there's no such item as "Fangs of Fury," and second, ChatGPT basically forced two completely unrelated Pokémon into a "fusion evolution." It left everyone wondering if the AI had, you know, *actually played* Pokémon before.
▼ So, "Tyranitar Pawmi" looks like *this*, right? We're dying!

The moment this answer dropped, it not only cracked up the original poster but also sparked a massive discussion among netizens. Comments poured in, with one user quipping, "What in the world is a Tyranitar Pawmi?! LOL, a Rock/Electric type would actually be pretty strong!" Another added, "The way it made up an evolution item name that sounds so legit is just too funny!"
