From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, the transforming alloy toy "DX Chogokin" series has announced its latest product from "Macross Frontier The Movie": "Super Lucifer Valkyrie (Brera Sterne's Machine) REVIVAL Ver.", scheduled for release in July 2025.
The VF-27γSP Super Lucifer Valkyrie is the unit piloted by Brera Sterne, the older brother of the heroine Ranka Lee, in the second part of "Macross Frontier The Movie". Based on the VF-27, a specialized unit for cybernetic soldiers, the γ-type pushes engine output and various avionics performance to the machine's limits compared to standard specifications. In the movie, it is further equipped with "Super Parts" to add armor, thrusters, missiles, and other equipment, significantly enhancing the unit's performance.
The "DX Chogokin Super Lucifer Valkyrie (Brera Sterne's Machine) REVIVAL Ver." is an updated version based on the previous release from 2013. The shoulder and thigh joints have been improved, changing from one screw to two, enhancing the strength of the parts. The entire unit's paint scheme has been adjusted to a matte finish, reducing the overly glossy, plastic feel of the original molded colors.
Other specifications are essentially the same as the previous version. The main body boasts the Lucifer's unique cool styling, flexible articulation, and the ability to transform into three forms: FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID. The cockpit canopy can be replaced with parts to display it in either open or closed states, and mini figures of Ranka Lee and Brera Sterne can be placed in the pilot's seat.
In addition to the Beam GUNPOD, shield, and a retractable combat knife within the shield, the accessories also include a complete set of "Super Parts," such as additional armor for various sections and large booster thrusters. These can be equipped in all three forms—FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID—to recreate its impressive appearance during the final battle in the movie!
