Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest product in their popular "Frame Arms Girl" mecha musume plastic model kit series, the "Hresvelgr=Rufus Qipao Ver.", slated for release in June 2025.

The Hresvelgr series originally debuted as the first popular model kit in Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms" series to feature a complete transformation mechanism and numerous derivative specifications. When illustrator Eiji Komatsu reimagined it as a beautiful girl, the "Frame Arms Girl Hresvelgr" series was born, faithfully reproducing the differences in each specification and designing figures with distinct appearances and personalities, which also garnered immense popularity.

The newly released "Hresvelgr=Rufus Qipao Ver." is a significant modification of the standard version released in 2017. It utilizes numerous new parts to recreate the Qipao design drawn by Eiji Komatsu. This includes new hair parts such as bun/braided twin-tails, four new face parts, a body clad in a Qipao, and newly sculpted, fuller thigh parts. Additionally, stickers are included to replicate the golden dragon embroidery on the Qipao.

Some movable joints have also been updated to modern product standards. The hip joint parts feature the pull-out structure adopted by "Frame Arms Girl Izumo," which, combined with pull-out shoulder joints, independent bicep rotation, and double-jointed knees, grants Hresvelgr=Rufus a more flexible range of motion. This allows for dynamic battle poses when paired with the "Great Sword" featuring an unfolding mechanism and the "Kurena" which can switch between blade and chainsaw forms.

Furthermore, the product is compatible with previously released "Frame Arms Girl Hresvelgr" series kits. The hair parts are interchangeable with the standard Hresvelgr=Rufus, and thigh parts are included that can connect to the Hresvelgr series' mechanical legs.
