Bandai Candy's Shokugan division, under Bandai Co., Ltd., will release the latest product from its "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" series, which evolved from the popular "SUPER MINIPLA" assembly model shokugan. This new item is "SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT] Space Robot King Joe" from Tsuburaya's Ultraman series special effects drama "Ultraseven." The suggested retail price is 6,930 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2025!
The classic rival monster from "Ultraseven," "Space Robot King Joe," is a super robot built by the Pedan aliens. Standing 55 meters tall and weighing 48,000 tons, it is constructed from ultra-high-strength Pedanium space alloy and can generate a full-body protective shield, rendering Ultraseven's attacks ineffective and putting him in a tough battle. The entire machine can also separate into four UFOs, each possessing flight and diving capabilities, making it a formidable opponent.
The "SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT] Space Robot King Joe" stands approximately 16 cm tall after assembly. It faithfully recreates King Joe's alloy armor design, crafted from special metal, and intricate details such as the complex screws on its head. The head and chest utilize clear parts to simulate a shimmering light effect. The model also reproduces the transformation and combination mechanism of the four UFOs. With the included stand, you can enjoy displaying it in its flying state. Additionally, it comes with a Pedan alien saucer and interchangeable hand parts for its enhanced form! Coupled with simple articulation, you can recreate battle scenes from the series!
