It's been two years since the launch of the smash-hit Street Fighter 6, and it's still a top pick for streamers and fighting game enthusiasts alike. After the long wait for a sequel to Street Fighter V, players are definitely ready to dive deep and master new characters.
Last June, Capcom dropped a bombshell: Street Fighter 6's Year 2 content would feature two iconic characters from SNK's legendary fighting game, Fatal Fury: Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui! Fans went wild, and today (January 14th), the official gameplay trailer for Mai Shiranui has finally landed, confirming her arrival in the game on February 5, 2025.

This year's official Year 2 character lineup includes not only fan favorites M. Bison and Elena, but also the series' first-ever guest characters from the Fatal Fury series: Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui! M. Bison and Terry have already joined the fray, with Mai Shiranui and Elena set to arrive in February and Spring 2025, respectively.
Mai Shiranui is an iconic character from SNK's Fatal Fury series, also boasting massive popularity in The King of Fighters. She stands alongside Chun-Li from Street Fighter as one of the most recognizable female fighters in gaming history.
The gameplay trailer not only showcases her signature red ninja attire but also a brand-new, sleek bodysuit! Both styles bring their own unique flair, with the latter echoing Mai's fresh look in the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, set to launch in April.
Watch as Mai unleashes her Shiranui-ryu ninjutsu, wielding her iconic fan as a weapon and commanding flames in battle. Her signature move, "Flying Dragon Flame Dance" (Hishou Ryuenjin), makes a glorious return, sending her gracefully soaring into the air like a flurry of petals to strike down opponents, showcasing her classic yet powerful fighting style.
