Most of us have hit up a fast-food joint or two, and in Japan, chains like McDonald's, KFC, and Lotteria are everywhere. But did you know Japan actually has special "KFC All-You-Can-Eat" restaurants? There are only three across the entire country, making it a pretty exclusive feast.
Recently, KFC Japan decided to shake things up, launching a limited-time "All-You-Can-Eat Original Recipe Chicken" event at 353 locations nationwide. Naturally, fans eager for the experience rushed to book their spots, and now, Japanese X (formerly Twitter) is buzzing with netizens sharing their hilarious and often challenging reviews.

One particular post sharing a user's experience went viral. They summed it up perfectly:
"Seriously, the KFC all-you-can-eat is way harder than I thought! You start with a 'basic quota' – three pieces of chicken, one biscuit, and one order of fries. You HAVE to finish all of that before you can even think about ordering more."
"The kicker? That biscuit is an absolute stomach-filler. Plus, after a while, the chicken seasoning gets a bit much, and the only condiment they offer to switch things up is ketchup. It's a real struggle!"
"I managed to force down just three more pieces of chicken before hitting my limit. I honestly thought I could eat way more! Turns out, if I had the same amount of food, I could probably eat more at an all-you-can-eat yakiniku place. But hey, I did discover their lemon tea is surprisingly good! All in all, it was still a pretty fun experience!"

Many other netizens echoed this sentiment. That initial "basic quota" often leaves people feeling stuffed after just the biscuit, and the "finish-before-you-can-reorder" rule can be a real buzzkill for those who just want to gorge on chicken.

Another user chimed in, saying it was "painful" to eat, and that just chicken gets incredibly monotonous. They suggested that unless you have an absolutely bottomless pit for a stomach, you could probably get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

The "Limited-Time All-You-Can-Eat Original Recipe Chicken" event runs in Japan from January 14th to 24th, 2025. Each participating store kicks off the 45-minute all-you-can-eat session at 4 PM, and it's reservation-only. You can reorder chicken, biscuits, fries, and drinks. It costs 2,000 JPY for adults and 980 JPY for elementary school students.

So, would you dare to take on this "Limited-Time All-You-Can-Eat Original Recipe Chicken" challenge? If you're a true fried chicken fanatic, maybe it's worth checking out during the event, or even visiting one of Japan's three permanent KFC All-You-Can-Eat restaurants for an even more epic feast!
