Japan's FuRyu company's prize division, Furyu Prize, has preemptively unveiled on its official X account a new product from its "Trio-Try-iT" series, which focuses on developing challenging and appealing character figures. This new item will feature Kenshin Himura from the popular anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story" and is scheduled to be released as a prize item in June 2025!
"Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story" is an adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's manga "Rurouni Kenshin," produced by LIDENFILMS animation studio, and is a remake of the 1996 anime. It tells the story of the wanderer "Hitokiri Battōsai," Kenshin Himura, who, after being persuaded by Kaoru Kamiya, the acting master of the Kamiya Kasshin-ryū, settles down. However, due to his complex past, he becomes embroiled in various incidents, challenging opponents who come his way.
This Trio-Try-iT Kenshin Himura figure sculpts Kenshin in a standing pose with his hands tucked into his kimono. Details such as the wrinkles on his clothing and the pleats of his trousers are meticulously carved, and the iconic cross-shaped scar on his face is faithfully reproduced. His ponytail is sculpted with a slight flowing motion, adding a sense of dynamism to the relatively static piece. Partial shading is applied to deepen the shadows, making the overall visual appearance more three-dimensional!
