Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) will release the "Optimus Prime Humikane Shimada Ver." model kit, produced by Humikane Shimada, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the popular "Transformers" series. The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, with an estimated release in June 2025!

Many Transformers characters appearing in the G1 animation were conceived by Hasbro in the 80s, commissioned from Marvel Comics, based on the Diaclone series toys developed by Japan's TAKARA company. The most familiar Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, evolved from Battle Convoy, one of the first Diaclone series introduced!

This "Optimus Prime Humikane Shimada Ver." model kit stands approximately 13.5 cm tall when completed. It is based on illustrations drawn by Humikane Shimada, achieving precise color separation through molded colors and pre-painted parts. It cleverly combines Optimus Prime's mechanical structure with a girl's physique, recreating various details on the mecha inspired by the original design. Inside the chest is the Matrix of Leadership, symbolizing his status, and the blue windows on the chest and the Autobot insignia on the left arm are all faithfully reproduced!

Accessories include three interchangeable face parts (flesh-toned and mechanical), two sets of bangs, four pairs of interchangeable hands, and two classic weapon accessories: a pistol and an energy axe. Coupled with the flowing twin ponytails, various dynamic and lively poses can be achieved!
