PROOF Co., Ltd., which releases various anime and manga character merchandise, has announced its latest product, the "Belldandy" scale figure, based on the classic manga "Ah! My Goddess"! The suggested retail price is 26,400 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in October 2025.
The manga "Ah! My Goddess," created by Japanese manga artist Kōsuke Fujishima, was serialized from 1988 to 2014. Over its 25-year run, the artwork evolved from a cute style to a beautiful girl style, but the protagonist "Belldandy"'s elegant demeanor and warmth remained constant. Belldandy, the Goddess representing "the present" among the three Norns, possesses goddess-level beauty, wisdom, and virtue (though she is a bit of a ditz). She is a very gentle and kind regular first-class deity with extremely powerful abilities. Originally a renowned top student in Heaven, she remained in the mortal world due to the wish made by the male protagonist Keiichi Morisato: "I wish you would always stay by my side."
The PROOF "Belldandy" scale figure is based on the cover illustration of "Kōsuke Fujishima Artbook 'Ah! My Goddess' 1988-2008," bringing the beautiful artwork to life in a size of approximately 26.5 cm! It faithfully recreates the gentle smile and flowing grayish-brown long hair from the illustration, with finely sculpted curled hair ends. The clothing features lively sculpted wrinkles, accented with metallic paint for a textured feel. The hem of her dress naturally wraps around to form the base, creating the illusion of Belldandy sitting on a floating fairy island, giving the entire display a unique and distinctive style!
