KONAMI, a Japanese company with diverse entertainment businesses, has announced a new Yu-Gi-Oh! themed product for its popular Monsters LEGION prize series on the official KONAMI Prize Collection website: "Obelisk the Tormentor". It is scheduled to be released as a prize item in late January 2025!
Obelisk the Tormentor, one of the three Egyptian God Cards, was created by Pegasus, inspired by ancient Egyptian stone tablets. The card is unaffected by any Trap Card effects, and the effects of Spell Cards and Effect Monsters only last for one turn against it. It is the only one of the three Egyptian Gods in the anime to have its ATK and DEF explicitly stated (both 4000), and it was also the first of the three Egyptian Gods to appear.
Following the previously released "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and "The Winged Dragon of Ra", the final Egyptian God, Obelisk the Tormentor, finally makes its official debut in the Monsters LEGION series! This prize figure stands approximately 19 cm tall. The sculpting faithfully recreates Obelisk's robust musculature, along with intricate details like its spikes and wings. A pearlescent paint finish reproduces its iconic blue body. The figure captures the dynamic pose of Kaiba activating its attack to break through the effect of the Trap Card, Mirror Force. Its ferocious expression and explosive muscles exude a powerful presence!
