T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY Company, is set to release a new product based on the Star Wars spin-off series The Mandalorian – the "Grogu's Big Collection 2" gashapon series. The suggested retail price is 400 JPY per capsule, with an anticipated release in late February 2025!
Often referred to as Baby Yoda, Grogu belongs to the same powerful Force-sensitive species as Yoda and Yaddle. In the series, the Mandalorian was initially tasked with capturing Grogu but developed a father-son bond with him during their journey, leading them to join forces with several allies to resist the remnants of the Galactic Empire led by Moff Gideon.
This "Grogu's Big Collection 2" once again transforms Grogu's in-series appearances into four character models, each approximately 4.2 cm tall. Grogu (A) includes a Mandalorian training dart and a Mythosaur necklace, recreating his look during Mandalorian training; Grogu (B) features him revealing his Mandalorian signet and chainmail; Grogu (C) not only includes the "face-hugging" octopus leaping from the soup but also comes with rock accessories, allowing collectors to combine it with Grogu (B)'s closed-eye expression to recreate his meditation during Luke's training; and IG-12 includes the upper body of the IG-12 droid, which can be combined with Grogu (C) to recreate that iconic "Yes! Yes! Yes!" scene from Season 3! Each style features simple articulation in the hands and head, and the interchangeable accessory design allows toy enthusiasts to create a wide variety of fun play scenarios!
