GOOD SMILE COMPANY's popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different products, will release its latest item based on the popular anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS": the "Nendoroid Taro Sakamoto Basic." It will have a suggested retail price of 3,900 JPY and is scheduled for release in June 2025.
The manga "SAKAMOTO DAYS" by Japanese manga artist Yuto Suzuki tells the story of the legendary hitman, Taro Sakamoto. He was once the strongest and most feared assassin, admired by all hitmen and dreaded by villains. However, after meeting convenience store clerk Aoi, he fell in love and decided to retire from his life of crime, got married, and had an adorable daughter. Now, he runs "Sakamoto Store" in a quiet corner of the city, living a happy life where he has gained a significant amount of weight.
The "Nendoroid Taro Sakamoto Basic" is a more affordable, simplified version with fewer parts. It stands approximately 10 cm tall and faithfully recreates Sakamoto's plump, rounded appearance after his retirement. He is dressed in a yellow T-shirt and a green convenience store apron, with the glare from his glasses concealing his sharp assassin's aura. Its functionality is the same as other Nendoroids, supporting interchangeable hands, feet, and neck articulation, as well as interchangeable face plates.
A special round base is included as a bonus when purchased from the Good Smile Company online store.
