Following the release of Kyojuro Rengoku, the S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, issued by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, is once again launching a new product based on the popular anime and manga series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" – the "Akaza" action figure. It will be available for pre-order on February 3rd at a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY, with an estimated release in July 2025!
Akaza, formerly known as Hakuji, was a highly skilled swordsman in his human life. After his master and fiancée, Koyuki, were brutally murdered by a neighboring dojo, he single-handedly killed all 67 students in that dojo. On his way back, he encountered Muzan Kibutsuji, who forcibly transformed him into a demon. Driven by an obsession to become stronger, he became Upper Rank Three of the Twelve Kizuki.
This S.H.Figuarts Akaza stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. The sculpting faithfully recreates Akaza's lean upper body musculature and the creases in his pants, reproducing his signature markings and details like his prayer bead anklets. Articulated joints are cleverly integrated into the loose-fitting pants, with a specially designed hip joint offering a wider range of motion, allowing for difficult poses such as horse stance, front kicks, and back kicks! Accessories include one left hand replacement part, two right hand replacement parts, and four interchangeable face parts. These can be combined with the "Big Brother" (Rengoku) figure, scheduled for release in June, or the previously released Tanjiro to recreate thrilling battle scenes!
