Japanese company SQUARE ENIX has announced the third product in its new soft vinyl figure series, "Polygon Soft Vinyl Figure (Polygon Sofubi)", based on their popular video game "FINAL FANTASY VII". The third product, "Zack Fair", is scheduled for release in May 2025.

In the main story of "FINAL FANTASY VII", the late Zack Fair, though a supporting character with limited screen time, is a key figure in many mysteries, and his story was completed in "Crisis Core", released in 2007. Zack, with his bright and lively personality, joined the Shinra Company as a SOLDIER, aspiring to be like the hero "Sephiroth". He quickly became an elite "1st Class" SOLDIER, and during this time, befriended Cloud Strife, who was just a regular SOLDIER. However, during the "Nibelheim Incident", both were defeated by the corrupted Sephiroth and then captured by Professor Hojo for human experimentation. Five years later, Zack finally found an opportunity to escape with the mentally broken Cloud, but during the escape, he was overwhelmed and killed by a large number of Shinra soldiers. Before his death, he entrusted the "Buster Sword" and his dreams to Cloud, causing the memory-confused Cloud to develop the "cool former 1st Class SOLDIER" persona seen at the beginning of the story.
The "Polygon Soft Vinyl Figure Zack Fair" is based on his appearance in the original 1997 PlayStation version of "FINAL FANTASY VII", recreating his low-polygon count appearance at a height of approximately 16 cm. His hedgehog-like hair, bottle-shaped arms, and 1st Class SOLDIER uniform are all faithfully reproduced in soft vinyl. Simple horizontal swivel articulation is also included in the arms, waist, and feet.
