The highly anticipated 2025 "Mobile Suit Gundam" anime, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, has been generating massive buzz since its announcement. A collaborative effort between Studio Khara (of "Evangelion" fame) and Sunrise (the powerhouse behind "Mobile Suit Gundam"), its theatrical preview, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, has already smashed box office records.
While official Gunpla and merchandise are steadily rolling out, one Japanese X user recently took matters into their own hands! Using parts from Bandai's 30MS "30 MINUTES SISTERS" series and various other model kits, they've custom-built an adorable pilot suit model of Amate Yoha (Machi), earning widespread praise online.
Machi, whose full name is Amate Yoha, is the high school student protagonist of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX." Living a seemingly peaceful everyday life in a colony, she constantly feels a sense of unreality. Her encounter with Nean, a girl involved in smuggling, becomes the catalyst for her to pilot the "GQuuuuuuX" and participate in "Squadron Battles."
X user Kazupyon (@4580kazu) ingeniously combined various 30MS bishoujo model kit components, Gunpla parts, and even readily available Daiso products. Through careful painting and assembly, they crafted this Machi pilot suit model, complete with her signature beanie! Since an official pilot suit version hasn't been released yet, this build is truly ahead of the curve.
(Just to put things in perspective, Bandai only announced the Figure-rise Standard "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Amate Yoha (Machi)" model kit today, February 2nd!)
The custom model even comes with her dedicated white Haro from the show and interchangeable face plates. It's genuinely hard to believe this intricate, custom creation was assembled from various existing model kit parts!
