Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced the latest product in their everyday life bishoujo plastic model kit series, 『Sousai Shojo Teien』: "Kuon Yakushiji [Kagari Maria Outfit]", scheduled for release in July 2025.
Kuon Yakushiji, a third-year student at Momosakura High School, may seem like a somewhat clumsy young lady in her daily life, but once in front of the camera, she transforms into a genius actress capable of exquisite performances. After entering the entertainment industry through extracurricular activities, this sheltered young lady from a prestigious family has had the opportunity to portray a wide variety of roles, the most iconic of which is Kagari Maria, the heroine of the popular hero program "Infinite Encounter Megalomaria".
The "Sousai Shojo Teien Kuon Yakushiji [Kagari Maria Outfit]" recreates her black sailor uniform appearance as Kagari Maria in the show. The white lines on the collar and cuffs are pre-painted, allowing for significant color accuracy straight out of the box. Accessories include four interchangeable face parts – 'Serious Face', 'Shouting Face', 'Damaged Face', and 'Signature Face' – both pre-painted and unpainted, as well as a 'Blooming' effect part for her right eye, recreating her special ability.
To faithfully reproduce the agile movements of a tokusatsu protagonist, Kuon's body features a different joint structure compared to previous products in the series. Combining designs such as 'pull-out shoulder joints', 'chest and abdomen twisting joints (front, back, left, right)', 'articulated skirt', and 'double joints for elbows and knees', she can achieve greater forward and backward bending, and can be posed with various hand parts to recreate cool stances such as dual-wielding swords, iaijutsu (sword drawing), and a high kneeling pose.
