Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is always dropping fresh collabs, and their latest hit, the Donkey Kong Country expansion in Super Nintendo World, which just opened this past December, is already a massive draw for visitors.
They've also teamed up with the iconic "Doraemon" franchise to launch a brand-new attraction, "Doraemon 4-D Art Adventure ~Nobita's Picture World Story~." This immersive experience is inspired by "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Picture World Story" (tentative title, 映画ドラえもん のび太の絵世界物語), which is set to hit theaters on March 7. Today (February 4), USJ officially unveiled the themed menu and exclusive merchandise, confirming the attraction's grand opening on February 14, 2025.
The all-new "Doraemon 4-D Art Adventure ~Nobita's Picture World Story~" is a 4D attraction designed for families and friends to dive headfirst into Doraemon's cinematic universe and embark on an epic journey. Guests will wield the original secret gadget, the "Deluxe Air Crayon" (空気クレヨン・デラックス), to draw words and pictures right in the air! Combining stunning 3D visuals with special effects like vibrations and splashes, it promises an incredibly realistic, heart-pounding, and exhilarating experience unlike any other.
But wait, there's more! USJ is also rolling out a whole lineup of themed food and exclusive merchandise. Of course, you'll only be able to snag these goodies if you visit the park during the event period. The menu features delicious treats like the "Painter Doraemon's Fluffy Omelet & Hamburger Steak Set," "Nobita's Doodle?! Two-Tone Curry Rice," "Let's Draw with Doraemon! Kids' Meal," and the "Colorful Chocolate Grape Parfait."
And for the ultimate eye-catcher? It's gotta be the "Movie Version Doraemon Popcorn Bucket"! Not only does it feature Doraemon sporting a removable painter's hat, but he's also clutching a paintbrush. Plus, there are adorable churros adorned with bells and a watercolor-style cheesecake to sweeten the deal.
Beyond the food, you can also grab movie-themed Doraemon headbands, a "Doraemon Popping Out of a Picture Frame" charm, and a movie-exclusive Doraemon plush toy.
This marks USJ's very first 4D attraction collaboration with "Doraemon," and it's set to run from February 14 to August 17, 2025.
