KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, in collaboration with illustrator En Morikura, has announced the latest product in their everyday beautiful girl plastic model kit series, "Sousai Shojo Teien," the "Kuon Yakushiji [Kagaribi Maria Outfit] Dreaming Style Blizzard Actress," slated for release in August 2025. This product will be exclusively sold at KOTOBUKIYA SHOP and other officially designated retailers.
Kuon Yakushiji, a third-year student at Momosakura High School, is usually a somewhat clumsy young lady, but transforms into a genius actress capable of exquisite performances once she's in front of the camera. After entering the entertainment industry through extracurricular activities, this sheltered young lady from a prestigious family has had the opportunity to portray a variety of roles. Among them, the most iconic is Kagaribi Maria, the heroine of the popular hero show "Infinite Encounter Megalomaria."
The "Kuon Yakushiji [Kagaribi Maria Outfit] Dreaming Style Blizzard Actress" is a modified version based on the standard edition. It retains the sailor uniform style worn when portraying Kagaribi Maria, but with an ice and snow motif, the hair parts have been changed to grey-blue, the sailor uniform parts to dark blue, and even the "blooming" effect on the right eye is now rendered in clear blue.
To faithfully recreate the agile movements of a tokusatsu drama protagonist, Kuon's body features a joint structure different from previous products in the series. It incorporates designs such as "shoulder pull-out joints," "chest and abdomen twisting joints (allowing movement forward, backward, left, and right)," a "movable skirt," and "double joints for the elbows and knees." These features enable a greater range of forward and backward bending, and allow for cool poses like dual-wielding swords, iaido drawing, and a high kneeling stance when combined with various interchangeable hand parts.
