Japanese convenience stores are legendary for their incredible fresh food, a major draw for tourists and a daily lifesaver for office workers. Remember when FamilyMart launched its '40% Increase Campaign'? Shoppers raved about the insane value.
Well, hold onto your hats because this February, rival chain Lawson officially kicked off its own 'Mori Sugi Challenge' (Massive Portion Challenge)! This time, they're boasting a whopping '47% increase,' sending shoppers into a frenzy. Many items are already selling out, sparking massive buzz online.

Lawson's 'Mori Sugi' event has been a hit since 2023, consistently super-sizing popular items without jacking up prices, drawing huge crowds. This year's theme? The 'Biggest Lineup Ever,' rolling out new boosted products over three consecutive weeks.
Take the 'Full-Belly Rich Tonkotsu Ramen,' for instance. They've boosted the chashu pork by a full 47% – no extra charge! It's easily one of the hottest items this round.

And for dessert lovers, the 'Uchi Cafe Fresh Cream Roll' also gets a massive 47% upgrade, letting you indulge even more!

Lawson's portion-boosting events always blow up online, and this year is no different. Social media is flooded with excited posts like "Got mine this year!" and "The portions are absolutely wild!" But, of course, there are also plenty of cries of "Can't find it anywhere, totally sold out!" and "Checked multiple stores, no luck!"
Lawson has chimed in, reminding everyone that "product availability varies by store. Some locations may not carry certain items, or they might be out of stock due to high demand."

If you're in Japan soon, definitely hit up a Lawson to see if you can snag some of these super-sized fresh foods or snacks! The event rolls out different items over three weeks, so check out the official website for the full schedule.
