KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest collaborative product, "Devil-Type Strafe bis," from its popular assembly model series "Megami Device," which combines colorful mechanical equipment with highly articulated bishoujo bodies, will be released in July 2025.
Devil-Type Strafe was originally a classic character from the first wave of the Busou Shinki series, released in 2006 alongside Angel-Type Arnval. Later, a remade and improved version, "Strafe bis," was released in 2008 to commemorate the series' second anniversary. This time, it has been re-created using the highly articulated Machineca body designed by sculptor Masaki Apsy in recent years, while also retaining many design elements that pay homage to the original MMS body. With the reconstruction under the assembly model specifications, details such as part color separation, joint surfaces, and articulation have all evolved further.
"Megami Device Devil-Type Strafe bis" is a modification of the previously released Devil-Type Strafe kit, adding new parts such as a Rocket Hammer, new goggles, articulated shoulder armor, and reinforced leg armor to recreate the cool "bis" specifications. Utilizing the highly flexible articulation of the body and the high-strength arms of the exoskeleton armor, it allows for dynamic poses wielding various weapons, achieving a more ferocious combat stance than the regular version.
The body part pays homage to the MMS body of the original product, retaining designs such as pull-out hip joints and single-axis elbow articulation. Accessories include three newly designed pre-painted face parts by face designer Amama: "Smiling Face (right gaze)," "Sleeping Face," and "Evil Smiling Face." Additionally, it includes the bun hairstyle added to the "Devil-Type Strafe Repaint Version."
