Leslie Benzies, the former lead designer at Rockstar Games who worked on "Grand Theft Auto V" and "Red Dead Redemption," is developing his latest game, "MindsEye." A new trailer, offering more details, was revealed today during PlayStation's online presentation, State of Play.

In this latest trailer, "MindsEye" showcases a strong spy-thriller aesthetic packed with action. The game features third-person gameplay, complete with gunfights, vehicle driving, and cinematic narrative sequences, strongly reminiscent of the "Grand Theft Auto" series. Visually, "MindsEye" emphasizes a high-tech backdrop, integrating futuristic military elements for an overall cinematic feel.
Players will step into the role of protagonist Jacob Diaz. Due to a neural chip called "MindsEye" implanted in him, his memories are affected, leading to fragmented recollections of his military career. The story sees him clashing with an AI-driven military force as he pursues the truth of his past, initiating a thrilling battle.

"MindsEye" is being developed by Build a Rocket Boy, a studio founded by Leslie Benzies after his departure from Rockstar Games. The studio previously collaborated with "Hitman" developer IO Interactive to create a AAA action-adventure game with a high-quality narrative and rich gameplay. This game is currently known to be powered by a platform called Everywhere, but no further information is available beyond that.
"MindsEye" is currently slated for a Summer 2025 release.
