Mobile Suit Gundam x Japan Airlines Collaboration Unveils Original Color 'RX-78-2 Gundam' Model Kit!

In conjunction with the upcoming 2025 Japan World Exposition (Osaka-Kansai Expo) to be held in April, Bandai Namco Group and Japan Airlines (JAL) have announced a collaborative project, 'JAL×GUNDAM FLY TO THE FUTURE PROJECT'. Starting March 3rd, a Gundam livery aircraft will commence operations, alongside the release of two collaboration-exclusive Gundam model products.

The Gundam livery aircraft launching for this collaboration, the "JAL Gundam JET", is a Boeing 737-800 passenger plane. It will provide domestic Japanese flight services from March 3rd to November 2025. The aircraft will feature designs of the "RX-78F00/E Gundam (EX-001 Glass Feather Equipment)" as seen in the Gundam Expo Pavilion's visuals, along with the Expo mascot "Myaku-Myaku".

Concurrently, JAL is also scheduled to sell flight+hotel packages in March that include a limited Gunpla. These packages will comprise flights to Kansai, accommodation at a Kansai hotel, and the limited Gunpla "EXPO2025 1/144 RX-78F00/E Gundam (EX-001 Glass Feather Equipment) [JAL Special Box Ver.]". The Gunpla's contents are essentially the same as the previous standard edition, with the addition of JAL original design waterslide decals and special livery box art.

Furthermore, a series of collaborative merchandise will be sold onboard, including the limited Gunpla "HG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam [JAL Original Color Ver.]". This kit utilizes red, white, and gray molding colors to represent JAL's corporate colors and comes with waterslide decals featuring the JAL LOGO. Even the outer box features a special red and white design.
