From TSUME ART, the high-quality statue manufacturer based in France and Luxembourg, their "IKIGAI" series, known for its exquisite and dynamic statues, is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" – the "Tanjiro Kamado" 1/6 scale collectible statue. The suggested retail price is 415.83 Euros, with an estimated release in July to September 2025!
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is a manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2016 to 2020. In April 2019, it was adapted into a TV anime by ufotable, becoming a phenomenal hit during the 2020 pandemic. The official announcement last year also revealed that the final arc of the series, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - The Infinity Castle Arc," will be released as three theatrical films in the future!
This Tanjiro Kamado 1/6 scale collectible statue takes inspiration from the pose in the most replayed episode of the first season of the anime, Episode 19 "Hinokami," when Tanjiro first unleashed "Hinokami Kagura" during his battle with Rui. Combined with the effects of "Sun Breathing, Eleventh Form: Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance," it depicts him dynamically attacking while stepping on a tree trunk. The sculpting faithfully reproduces the wrinkles and stylistic details of the Demon Slayer Corps uniform and the green and black checkered haori. His resolute gaze, flowing hair, and earrings are also meticulously recreated!
A major highlight of this piece is undoubtedly the voluminous flame effects. The arc-shaped fiery effects, representing the Sun Breathing exhalation emanating from both sides of his mouth, sway with his attacking motion and extend to the top of the fire dragon motif. This, combined with the brightening spray paint effects on the main body and realistic base, powerfully recreates the impressive attack pose that left all fans in awe!
