The popular die-cast toy series "METAL BUILD", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today announced the new product "Gundam Exia STORE LIMITED EDITION" from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00", scheduled for release in April 2025. This product will be sold exclusively at the TAMASHII NATIONS brand flagship store, "TAMASHII NATIONS STORE".
The GN-001 Gundam Exia, piloted by the protagonist Setsuna F. Seiei in the series, is one of the third-generation Gundam mobile suits manufactured by the private armed organization "Celestial Being". It utilizes the "GN Drive", a new compact power source capable of generating immense energy, which propels the mobile suit, defends its body, and jams radar by releasing "GN Particles". Gundam Exia's streamlined, lightweight armor design allows it to achieve movements almost identical to the human body. Its armaments include physical weapons not found on the other three units: the GN Sword, GN Long Blade, and GN Short Blade, which, along with two Beam Sabers and two Beam Daggers, are collectively known as the "Seven Swords", enabling high-speed, agile close-quarters combat with exceptional mobility.
The main body specifications of the "METAL BUILD Gundam Exia STORE LIMITED EDITION" are fundamentally the same as previous versions, featuring a flexible yet weighty die-cast movable frame and a sharp, cool, and refined armor design. This product, however, re-adjusts the color scheme based on the illustrations by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, completely refreshing the color application from the die-cast frame to the entire body armor.
The armaments also include the GN Sword, GN Long Blade, GN Short Blade, two Beam Sabers, two Beam Daggers, and the GN Shield. These can be combined with the 4 pairs of interchangeable hands, the dedicated display stand, and support parts to recreate dynamic and cool battle poses.
